I am on Manjaro KDE with all updates. Using nvidia prop drivers. nvidia driver: 525.60.11
Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Kernel Version: 6.0.11-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 × Intel® Core™ i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz Memory: 31.2 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070/PCIe/SSE2 System Version: 1.22.2 I installed kzones(https://store.kde.org/p/1909220) and now my KDE does not allow me to login !! It hangs during login. I had to log in as a different user to send this message. What I tried in my process to recover: 1. Logged in as a different user 2. "su -l" to my account in a terminal, 3. Deleted ".local/share/kwin/scripts/kzones" 4. $ rm .local/share/knewstuff3/kwinscripts.knsregistry Tried logging in. Still does not allow login. I have to Ctrl Alt Backspace and login as a different user. I invoked systemsettings GUI just in case: su -l kc export $(dbus-launch) systemsettings And now re-installed kzones and again manually deleted (in case my earlier manual delete missed some files) Still no luck. Just unable to login. Any ideas on how I 'reset' kwin/kde to before I messed with kzones ? |
