I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 and after upgrading to KDE 4.3 RC 1 when I set the Window Decoration to Oxygen or Ozone the title bar becomes completely transparent including the buttons for maximizing, minimizing, closing, etc. the window. The other Window Decoration choices like Modern or Plastiq work properly. Installing KDE 4.3 RC 2 failed to solve the problem as well. Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem are welcome. Oxygen and Ozone worked fine as Window Decorations before I upgraded to KDE 4.3.

my guess would be to run "zypper up" (from a root terminal) to see if you've missed any packet updates. (you should be sure, of course, that you've got the necessary and correct repositories enabled.)
if that doesn't help, some of the options for desktop decorations, transparency, etc., have moved within KDE systemsettings, so perhaps you've set transparency to some value you're not aware of. another possibility is that your video config. doesn't support some of the effects you've enabled. safe option: disable desktop effects altogether. on my slow system that speeds up things a lot. phani. |

Can you try with a different graphics driver?

@phani00: The user runs Kubuntu, which is Debian based, therefore apt-get will be used instead.
Try "apt-get update".
