OS: RHEL 4.6
MACHINE: x86_64 KDE: 3.3.1-9.el4 Red Hat After about two weeks of use, all widows old and newly created are locked in place. Selecting a window border, the cursor changes to the double head arrow but resize is not working. Same for the "move" (alt + left mouse button) the four head arrow cursor, but unable to move. There are no "advanced, Special Window Settings" enabled that I can see. |

Are you sure you're running KWin (and not e.g. Compiz Fusion)? You could try to run
in a terminal.

If still want to run Compiz Fusion, just open the Settings Manager (ccsm I think) and enable the relevant modules, such as "Move" (or whatever it's called).
If KWin is fine, just don't start Compiz Fusion.
