Hi, guys...
I'm using the KDE 4.3.2 and I'm love it. I have used the gnome interface for two years and this version of KDE transform my mind, it's very cool and productive. I have some doubts that I can't solve. The first - Why multiple monitors are not recognize by KDE? I'm using the xrandr to extend my desktops by command line, and after it I can go to systemsettings->display->multiple monitors, if I'm not using the xrandr command line I can't do that. 2º - How can I move a window between screens ? In compiz there is a option: "Move window to next output". Is there any similar option on KDE ? 3º - How can I set keyboard/mouse shortcuts to switch between virtual desktops ? 4º - Why I can't drag a windows throughout of my desktops? 5º - When I use the mouse scroll on desktop to change the virtual desktop the wheel is very sensitive and it switch very fast, it isn't productive, how can I fix it? Thanks! ps: sorry about my English. |

Sorry I can't help with the multiple monitors issue. I only have one so no way of testing... For number 3, the default is ctrl-f1 to f4 to switch directly to the corresponding desktop (1 to 4 that is). If you want to change those, start system-settings. Select "keyboard and mouse" and "Global keyboard shortcuts" after that. Select "Kwin" in the "KDE component" drop-down menu. There you can set up those shortcuts, and a lot of others regarding window/desktop management, to suit you. 4. You can, but it's not enabled by default (I think). System-settings, Desktop, Screen edges. If you set the drop-down to anything but disabled it should work. 5. I'm not sure if it's enough for you, but you may want to play around with the values in the advanced tab of the system-settings->keyboard & mouse->mouse program.

Hi,
1º - Oh ok, if you can answer a question I will be grateful. To keep my extend desktop using the xrandr I need to add a script in startup programs ? This is the command that I'm using:
2º and 3º - Thanks man, there are many shortcuts, it's what I want. 4º - Thanks too - it's working now. 5º - I changed the options but continues in the same. Thanks, until now I'm loving KDE |

If that command works, all you need to do is to start system-settings. Choose the advanced tab, and the autostart module. Click the "Add program" button. Paste the entry into the textfield, and select okay all the way out again.
