Moved to KWin.
Can you reproduce with a new user? What output do you get if you run 'kwin --replace' in a terminal?

Sorry, I gotta go abit off topic, I just installed windows and now I cant boot my Kubuntu anymore. I had kubuntu on SDA3 and installed windows on SDA 1 but after i installed windows I lost grub, so I cant tell you what 'kwin --replace' says.
any ideas how to get grub back? |

Ah yes, that's what happens if you install Windows - it wipes out your bootloader. I have no experience to recover GRUB myself, but this page has plenty of information: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Recov ... ingWindows
