Permanent geometric window scaling

Fri Mar 19, 2010 4:53 am
I am looking for a way to scale a window geometrically.
If you have some app that is running windowed and refuses to be scaled, is there any way you can just magnify the whole thing?

KDE basically has this functionality already. It is triggered when you use the Expose-like effect. It scales everything down geometrically. That effect only lasts until you select something, however.

I am basically looking for that exact same effect, but to last permanently for one specific window.
Is this a feature we can expect soon in KDE? Is there some kind of addon that does this?

Any info is welcome. Thanks in advance.

No, this is currently not possible as you would lose the possibility to interact with the window. To support this X Input Redirection support is required.
