Doesn't work again with KDE 4.5 RC2 :'(

When I try go to Desktop Effects, it says "The desktop effects could not be activated due to the following technical issues:"
and then lists nothing.

The propretairy Ati-driver is working though and direct rendering is available:
vistausss@vistausss-laptop:~$ glxinfo | grep -i direc
direct rendering: Yes
GL_EXT_copy_buffer, GL_EXT_copy_texture, GL_EXT_direct_state_access,
vistausss@vistausss-laptop:~$

I tried to remove Check is safe in kwinrc, but still the error appears :(

What is wrong and what can I do now?

Unfortunately I don't know why this happened.... is a new user broken as well?

Can you see anything in ~/.xsession-errors indicating why KWin does this?

Dunno if it has something to do with this problem, but the only thing I can find about KWin in .xsession-errors is:

kwin(1573): ""fsrestore1" - conversion of "0,0,0,0" to QRect failed"
kwin(1573): ""fsrestore2" - conversion of "0,0,0,0" to QRect failed"
kwin(1573): ""fsrestore3" - conversion of "0,0,0,0" to QRect failed"

Hmm... that shouldn't make a difference. What about when you open the Desktop Effects module in System Settings?

Try enabling the debug output using kdebugdialog.

Just an idea: remove each line stating something like "CheckIsSafe" from your ~/.kde/share/config/kwinrc and restart kwin.

Hmm, even after removing that line and restarting kwin, it still gives the same error :(

What can the problem be?
