I have deactivated the feature window tabbing, because I do not like it in general. But I would like to activate only on certain programs like KWord where it makes sense for me. Is it possible to archive this. I have found that there are window specific settings, but could not find anything about this.

When in KWord, press Alt+F3 > Advanced > Special (Window|Application) Settings > Preferences > Autogroup with identical > Force

This works for a few programs I've tested, don't know whether it will work with KWord.
