When Window tabbing is engaged the ability to lower a window by middle clicking on the title bar does not seem to work.
Is there something I maybe missing?

It's a configurable mouse action and the default is to move tabs with middle click. You can change it if you like

I know that you can disable the window tabbing to get the lowering functionality back. However I see no way to use them both at the same time...

Look & feel -> Window behavior -> title bar actions.
Look under titlebar & frame, change middle button to lower, and you should be set.

Aaah I see... if you use the modifier toggle you can activate other commands with the middle mouse button. I see...
If only there was an option for: "If mmb click and release it lowers... if dragged and released it does a tabbing operation." ...under Title bar action... would be faster to use.
