KDE 4.5 Shadow effect isn't applied immediately

Another bug I noticed in KDE 4.5 is that shadow composite effect is not applied immediately when a window is shown. For example if I hit 'File" in a dolphin window it is not shadowed. I have to mess with it for a while until the shadow appears. Any ideas?

Well good job Einstein, why don't we build a rocket in the meantime...
