I got this form http://www.kde.org/announcements/4.5/plasma.php:
It is now also possible to easily move windows around by dragging an empty area inside the window.

Is there a way to switch off this behaviour?? Some applications use drag 'n' drop and if you miss the element which you want to drag, you move the whole window (for example if you play KPatience and miss a card).
If I really want to move the window I press the alt key (or in my case the meta key) or try to hit the titlebar.

Try the application oxygen-settings and report a bug for the wrong behaviour. Such things can be fixed

Thanks, that was what I was looking. Much better now. Didn't know Oxygen comes with its own application for the settings.

Hi,
long time KDE user but first post here.

Recently I updated from KDE4.3 to 4.5.4 my Gentoo system.

I have only a small problem. That specific feature that is mentioned in this post, used to work but not anymore for no obvious reason.
I use Kwin and the option is checked in oxygen-settings.
What could be the problem?

thanks in advance

mgraesslin - shouldn't oxygen-settings be incorporated into system-settings?

no idea, you would have to ask oxygen maintainers ;-)

A section of Oxygen Settings is integrated into System Settings at Application Appearance > Styles > Configure. Oxygen Settings is supposed to be a tool for power users I believe, to allow them to fully customise it's behaviour.
