Not sure if this is a Kwin issue, but anwyway:
I've setup my system to have two monitors, by using the proprietary ATI driver. Everything works fine and dandy, but one issue is bothering me... My main monitor, monitor 1, is where is the Taskbar. Monitor 2 has nothing. If I launch an application from the taskbar on monitor 1 or with Krunner, the application appears on monitor 2... not on monitor 1. It seems that monitor 2 is marked somehow as the default monitor.... Any ideas? I've already tried some settings on System configuration, like launch application on the monitor that has the mouse cursor, but it appears that it doesn't matter... |

I would recommend to not use the proprietary tool. I tried it and it just does not work. Please use KRandR.

Yes, but KrandTray detects and shows both monitors configured with no issue. I really can't see what can be done with the tool, it shows the system properly configured, some settings, and nothing else.... |

I have the same problem with twinview (nvidia) but i found a solution i can live with.
I configured KDE to change the active screen to the one where my mouse cursor currently is. Systemsettings > Window Behavior > Window Behavior > Active Screen follows mouse Maybe this is a solution for you either. cya |
