Following on from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=91097&p=175068&hilit=dual+monitors+dual+monitor+taskbar#p175068
First off: I'm dead impressed with KDE's dual monitor autorecognition but am experiencing strange taskbar placing. Setup: laptop (lvds1) and external monitor (vga1) lvds1's position is absolute and set up as primary output, vga1 to the right. My taskbar, however, is on vga1. Here some details of my system:
All in all it wouldn't be so bad, but lvds1 is 1680x1050 and vga1 only 1280x1024 and the taskbar doesn't fit on vga1 Soooooo, any pointers much appreciated.

If you use 4.6 you can try forcing the primary display in the display KCM. If that's the case, what happens when you do?

First of all sorry for the late reply, was away from the other monitor.
Secondly, KCM = KDE Control Module, ah Found the Primary output drop down menu, selected LVDS1 and VGA1 went blank. I think I tried this before the original post. However, I didn't try to drag something onto VGA1 which works just fine and everything is as advertised! Many thanks
