I recently installed kubuntu 11.04 on my laptop. (nvidia graphics).
I don't seem to get HDMI working.. The function key to toggle the display to the TV does not do anything (fn + f7 key). I tried updating the keyboard preferences under Global Keyboard shortcuts, still no luck. It worked fine under ubuntu 10.10 (I migrated to KDE as I did not like unity). Is there anything I am missing ? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ranj |

Systems with Nvidia graphics need to use the Nvidia control panel to change graphical settings on Linux systems.

I uninstalled nvidia driver to see if switch display works. It did not work even after that. I think it may be a bug in KDEDaemon ?

Potentially - however if you are using the proprietary NVidia drivers, then they should handle it for you - although you may need to enable the output using the control panel directly rather than through keyboard shortcuts.
