4.6.2 (ubuntu 11.04), panel is at the left edge of the screen, auto-hide is on. Whenever a video player (tried vlc and smplayer) window is moved to a position where it will be partially covered by reappearing panel, panel will reappear not at the left edge of the screen as it should, but at the left edge of the leftmost unmaximized window. Very unusual, no idea how that happened. Please consider filing a bug report at bugs.kde.org.
