Reserve screen area

Thu Jun 23, 2011 4:09 pm
Good day

Is it possible to reserve a section of my screen for widgets/specific applications?

For example - I want a +/- 4 cm strip on the side of my screen to be not covered by maximed windows. I will put widgets or a note in this strip so that they are alway visible and not above another application.

Thanks

Creating a panel and placing the widgets in that would probably be the best way to do this. Make sure the panel is set to "Always Visible" (which is the default)
