kwin and the X Geometry Specification

Hello, everyone. I am a newcomer to this forum, though I've been using kde intermittently since 1.x, back in late 90's. But it wasn't until today that I decided to join the forums

I have one question about kwin: is there any way to specify the window placement relative to the opposite corner of the screen (bottom-right)? In other WMs (most notably for me, fvwm) you can specify something like (-10,-20) and the window will appear on the right bottom corner of the screen with an offset of 10 pixels to the right and 20 pixels to the bottom of the screen. The kde control centre doesn't complain if I try to set the window position like that, but it doesn't have the desired effect. Instead the window appears on the same corner than ever but the left-most and top-most parts of the window are out of my screen.

The fvwm way is concordant with the X Geometry Specification so it's my understanding that kwin should also follow that, at least under Linux.

What do you think? Is there something silly I am not taking into account?

Thanks beforehand for any response. See you around :)

If KWin is not following the X Geometry Specification, then that is probably a bug in KWin, which should be reported at bugs.kde.org.
