special window/application settings

Sun Sep 04, 2011 6:16 pm
What is the difference between "Special Window Settings" and "Special Application Settings" supposed to be? They look exactly the same to me, so I don't understand why there are two entries in the menu for this with different names. This is in KDE 4.6.

if you look at the window matching tabs you'll see a difference in which application windows are highlighted

- the special window settings highlights the specific window of the app that was right clicked on (normal, dialogue, utility, etc .....)

- the special application settings highlights all windows associated with the app (normal, dialogue, utility, etc .....)

Weird. For me, in KDE 4.6, the highlighted things are *exactly* the same. In fact, I can see no difference at all between the two things in any of the tabs.

Not a big deal: I was just curious.
