Strange pager behavior

Mon Oct 17, 2011 1:16 pm
Hi,

I have set pager to have 1 row and 4 desktops. I believed that this means that desktop #2 is to the right of #1, #3 is to the right of #2, etc - as it looks in the pager window. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case. #3 and #4 are below (!) #1 and #2 ('Switch one desktop to the right' stops at #2, and if I activate #3 by clicking on it in the pager, the sliding transigion shows that it is below #1). Although it is not always true - at random times switching to the right loops over all desktops.

If I set up 5 desktops to be in 1 row, #5 is not visible at all.

I am using KDE 4.7.1 (?) shipped with Ubuntu 11.10

Thanks

Agreed that pager settings are only for the taskbar and have no effect on systemsettings - desktop effects. To get the desired "slide" you need to get into that mask under the General tab and change the "Effect for desktop switching" to "slide".
