I think this might be nice to have different plasmoids on the login screen in KDM:
- photoframe - weather - networkmanager - power management (battery monitor for notebooks) etc Current parts of login screen (shutdown button, language and session chooser, login/password fields) can be also implemented as plasmoids. The login screen plasmoids can be configured in the system settings with administrator privileges. Same thing for session lock screen - currently it is black screen with small window with password prompt in the center - with plasmoids it could look much better. |

There is a way you can customize the plasmoids on the lock screen. I don't remember off-hand how, or where it was that I saw it.

@airdrik: It's in the screensaver module (System Settings -> Desktop -> Screen Saver).

Maybe you known, but as far as I known, KDM was deprecated/abandoned and Plasma team now favors SSDM (or SDDM, i don't remember). I think new login manager wouldn't have this feature implemented, because it's maintained outside KDE project and probably devs never agree to integrate it with Plasma.
