I got an email from minnie@gmail.com and she sent me a file (attached to mail).

I think it would be easy to add a plugin system to nepomuk, i mean: add kmail the possibility to tell nepomuk: "hey, minnie sent me a messagge today at 12.00 pm with this attachment, which has been saved in /home/User/Documents* Mar91 and my family.jpg".
Nepomuk will store those information and the user will be able to search for the photo or for the mail. So, for every search you will do about this mail, you'll get all information linked to it ( attachment, day you got it, text..etc )

This plugin system can also be extendend to other application, like Amarok, which can tell nepomuk: "this song is of $artist and was released in $year..etc" and searching for $year will gave you the song of $artist.

I think that this desing ( Application which give nepomuk some information ), is also extensible by changing the App's plugin without having o modify Nepomuk.

This sort of thing is exactly what nepomuk is meant for, and the nepomuk developers are currently trying to get applications to implement these sorts of features.
