Compiz Plugin "Grid" for KWin

Tue Oct 27, 2009 1:15 pm
In Compiz, I have a very nice plugin, called "grid".

With this plugin, it's possible to resize windows in a very easy way.

Modes like fullscreen or half of the screen are available.

It makes work much faster, I think and i miss it in kwin

Please explain what the grid plugin is. Users should be able to understand the idea without having used compiz or having to follow any links.

With this plugin, I can resize windows in a very easy way.

As example, when i press strg+alt+6 the window takes the right half side of the screen, or when i press strg+alt+4 the left side of the screen.
Other possibilties are a quarter - or fullscreen

Combinated with Desktop edges this could be very powerful
