Hello,
I would like to use the full space of the desktop. I just need on it a button to launch apps. When it's done, i would like to have in my window title bar the usual informations i have in the kde task bar (time, task manager, desktop manager, systray, etc.) Now they are plasmoids maybe it's possible to do. I hope you will excuse my poor english. Thanks and have a good day Samhy |

Actually I would say it's not possible to do - window decorations and plasma is completely separate. You can't simply give somebody the ability to dump a plasmoid on a border.

Hi,
is it impossible to use that space? Making the window title bar like it's a window of its own and then putting in it what you want? |

Something like this is being done for plasma netbook edition.

as ivan said something like this has been done for plasma-netbook.
With plasma-desktop something similar is also possible. Look at this blog: http://majewsky.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/the-kwin-button-applet/ |

I don't think so. The panel is a list of the window's titles. with a good theme , the panel will appear like samhy's view. Though, Samhy's view is bad , because it will lose the flexibility of the panel, like chrome os , you couldn't add more panels to the desktop. If you want the effect ,you can diy the settings in system settings and keep the flexibility of the panel. |
