Hi, this is first post here.
I was looking over the internet that HP is going to launch what they called Slate, a multi-touch pc thats runs Windows 7. While reading about this new device suddenly came to my mind the idea of this device running a linux based OS (if it can run windows 7, why not linux?...) with a touch friendly GUI. It will be cool to see in the future maybe a KDE touch GUI. Well I know, this device isnt out yet and this will require a lot of work but it would be nice to see something like this. What do you think guys? |

There is already an idea for Plasma-Tablet being voted on here.
However, I agree running KDE on a tablet would be great. I think the netbook version of KDE would do the job pretty well, but would need to be tweaked a bit to work with the changing orientation of the screen. I, probably like most people here, saw the HP Slate a few months back and my first thought was: Can I run Linux on it? So hopefully the answer is YES! |

People are already working on this.
Man is the lowest-cost, 150-pound, nonlinear, all-purpose computer system which can be mass-produced by unskilled labor.
