what is it called? I have installed arch's plasma meta package and I don't have it. (looked at the widgets 4 times). Is it part of the official KDE SC? And finally does it provide krunner plugins?

Called in the widget panel "run command" and it does provide runners, there is an option to enable/disable. It is not a standard plasmoid shipped with KDE SC

see http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.ph ... tent=91495 and there is an Arch package available on the site

OK, that's the idea. I want a run command widget "available in KDE SC. Though your suggestion is nice, but why not in official packages?

I don't how that process works, possibly the author must submit it to a dev mailing list and it would need to be approved (?)

You could make a request that it be included by contacting the author or submitting a request to bugs.kde.org

This is already planned. There is a partially-working widget already, and plasma developers say they intend to finish it.

That would be great, I tried the run-command widget. It is a waste of space, nearly half of my panel is occupied by it and it is not configurable. So if you know the developers, please remind them of that issue.

fyi - you could place a request to the dev of the run-command widget to fix your panel issue in the mean time

I did because I agree with you on the expanded size but a second opinion/request would be good

I asked him/her to consider scaling and suggested him/her to submit to the official KDE SC. Let's see what's going to happen.
