This is probably not a new idea, any way it is new to me :)

I have bought a Samsung Galaxy tab some days ago, and i get two opposite feelings.
The first impression is that it is a nice device, but after playing around a little bit, i get my conclusion that galaxy tab is a beautiful piece of hardware, gagged by the extremely limited android system, that completely hides the Linux base and whose main goal is direct the users (i would say the consumers) to Google's ecosystem.
After some time I found myself thinking, what a powerful device it would be if driven by a full linux/kde system tailored for the capacities and limitations of the device.
Any one know if is anything undergoing in that direction?
