Hi! I use amarok on ubuntu 12.04.
amarok's currenttrack Applet lazy with Japanese lang package.

I think "TextScrollingWidget's Width is ERROR on Japanese lang"

The problem you describe is due to a Bug Amarok has with Plasma. If you modify the width of one of the panels it should resolve itself.

As for the design: you can modify the position of the panes by changing the Layout: in the Amarok menu "View" you can unlock the layout and move the 3 panes where you would like to see them.

Also you have quite contradictory indications: You profile says Debian, you say you use Ubuntu 12.04 but with KDE 4.7.4? That is not possible as K/Ubuntu 12.04 ships KDE 4.8.1 currently (status pre-beta2). Please correct your indications to what you really use, else it is quite difficult to help.

i think kde-i18n-ja's armarok "current track"widget Design broken.
