iPod Playlist managment?

Thu Apr 12, 2012 2:26 pm
OK this featuer was in Amarok 1 but seems to be missing from Amarok 2

I can kind of see iPod playlist if I go to playlists but see 4 of every thing so they are not displaying correctly...

And I cant add a new play list there. So is the feature still not added back yet? or if it is where the heck is it hiding?

If it is not back yet how many more versions befor this Amarok 1 ver will be added to Amarok 2? I live Amarok and actualy like Ver 2 but this is kind of a must have feature for a Music management

Ipod is an iPod Video so the clasic one

Hi newbi462,
I must confirm the iPod playlists are more or less broken in Amarok 2.5, but I have a good news for you - iPod plugin is being completely rewritten for Amarok 2.6. (by me) This effort is virtually ready and you can try it out if you don't fear compiling Amarok from source.

In fact, it would be very helpful if you tried it, because I want the new plugin to be tested well before Amarok 2.6 is released. The new plugin currently lies in ipod-rewrite branch of my repository [1], but it will be probably merged to master in following weeks.
