Hey folks,
dont know weather this is a bug, so i write here, before i'll go to kde's bug-list. When playing a track (or having one paused) Amarok uses about 10-20% of the CPU. If i press stop, the program stopps using the CPU, pausing alone doesn't help. One track in the playlist is enough, and amarok doesn't search for songs, etc... I'm only using the lyrics in the kontext menu, but even disableing it doesnt help. I can't find any complain about this behavour, so is this a bug that effects only me, or has amarok really grown that "resource-hungry"? |

What Amarok version? What Phonon backend? Does it persist if you switch backend? Are you using PulseAudio?

I'm using Amarok 2.5.0
KDE 4.8.2 When i open the phonon menu and click on backend, it shows gstreamer (i hope this is what you meant). I don't use PulseAudio. I'm using alsa as sound-server. €: So should i install phonon-vlc as phonon backend? |

why not install phonon-vlc as phonon backend and see if it helps, you could always switch back to gstreamer
