Hi!
I'm now on Xubuntu 12.04 with Amarok 2.5. With this version, I got some problems with the streams:

1- Sometimes, they does'nt play (rarely, but it happens)
2- The tags (name of the radio station, artist - song etc.) that usually appears in the playlist just disappear after a few seconds and the only information that is visible after few seconds is the ip adress of the flux. It's the same with the now playing section at the top. If I restart the stream that I left in the playlist, sometimes, the new information come visible for a few seconds or I'm stuck with the last artist and it doesn't change anymore.
3- Finally, no songs are added in my last fm library (maybe a consequence of point 2)

I used Amarok a lot, so I'll be very happy if someone have responses.

Thanks!

Two things:

1. Please upgrade to Amarok 2.6, it is available in the kubuntu backports PPA for 12.04
2. Please change your phonon backend to vlc instead of gstreamer. The package you will need is called phonon-backend-vlc and you might have to restart KDE to make then change.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I upgrade to 2.6 and all seems OK so far. :)

Thanks!

So the stream problems where linked with 2.5 version?

No, the problem is related to the phonon-backend-gstreamer, but since you updated Amarok by activating the backports PPA I assume you also updated the phonon backends.

OK, everything is allright since I have upgrade to 2.6 and get the phonon-backend-vlc, even the srobbling of streams on last.fm was okay the first day. However, since that day, I just have noticed this evening that no other streams songs have been scrobbled... Hmm seems that there's something else that is going wrong
