Hello,
I'm on Amarok 2.5.0 @ Debian (built from source, since my version also runs on libstdc++ < 4.6 which is important for some reason!!). Everything works really fine, except for the fact that my ID3 comments in MP3s are "read-only". Comment content just won't change. Even some weird and rarely used fields like "BPM" work if I change 120 to 122, so this is OK. Has there any bugfix been made from 2.5.0~2.6.0 regarding this? Couldn't find anything at a quick look. |

Are you sure you have write access to all these files?
FWIW: I can add comments fine here with current Amarok 2.6-git of today.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

This may be a TagLib issue - I'm guessing whatever's included with Debian is quite old, so check what version you're using and consider building a more up-to-date version.
