Imported playlists

Thu Oct 18, 2012 1:24 pm
Hi
I've got a question that might have already been answered, so apologies if I'm double-posting. I'm using Amarok 2.6 and I see that I can import my -for instance- last.fm playlists as .xspf files, which amarok is indeed able to see. Unfortunately though, these playlists won't play because it looks like amarok cannot recognise or find the corrisponding mp3 files???...
My question is: is there a way to have amarok look for the matching tracks or is it necessary to populate the playlist by adding each track by hand? Thanks a lot :)

<track><title>Moonlight Shadow</title><creator>Mike Oldfield</creator><identifier>http://www.last.fm/music/Mike+Oldfield/_/Moonlight+Shadow</identifier></track>

I now understand that this points to the track on last.fm which is obviously useless :(

Well, it is a last.fm playlist, so of course it will not point elsewhere.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I guess I was just hoping for something smarter than what is possible in reality, that is the ability to read metadata and look for them in the mp3 files of the local collection.
