Hello all,
Please help me make my iPod work with Amarok. I know I am not the only one with Ipod problems but here we are again. First the details: Amarok 2.6.0 using KDE 4.8.2 Ipod Nano 8Gb, fully reset and empty Kubuntu 12.04 When I plug my ipod in I am asked to either: Open with File manager Download photos with Gwenview when I click a small icon to the right of the Ipod symbol it says mount this device which I do Open Amarok The only place I find the Ipod is in "Local Music" and it comes up as MYPOD:invalid When I select settings I get a dialogue box with: Ipod Devecie configuration Ipod Name [greyed out box with MYPOD] Transcode [greyed out : ask before each transfer] Information Model: Invalid Generation: Unknown Video: Not supported Album Artwork: not supported Troubleshooting SysInfo file: Not found SysInfoExtended file: not found iPod model was not recognised It then goes on to say that as a safety measure Amarok will not write anything to the pod. It then has a link to further information which is not very informative. Anyone out there who can help please. I have found all sorts of stuff on this theme but somehow it doiesn't seem to apply to my case. John |
