This is most likely a problem with how the patch was obtained from KDE Paste; I ran into that as well when I downloaded the patch file directly, and then worked around it by copy-pasting it into vim. Anyway, you can use https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/402 ... rter.patch , it should (hopefully) work.

Fantastic!!!! That works brilliantly! I'm very happy. Thank you so so much for all your help.
I did have a few tracks that didn't seem to synchronise. I'll have a more detailed look and see if I can work out why. Thanks again for your help and persistence! |

Okay, so I think I've worked out why some weren't transferred.
A few tracks were in the unique tracks pane. These all seem to be cases where Amarok has incorrectly read the song metadata for some reason. Or perhaps Nightingale incorrectly wrote the metadata. In any case, the artist/etc. is inconsistent between the two, so I think your plugin did try to do the right thing. There were quite a few in the excluded tracks pane, but these were all for tracks that had the same title in the same album of the same artist. I had a look at the Nightingale xml file, and it doesn't differentiate further (e.g. by track number), so there not much that you could do about it (short of parsing the sql database directly). Thanks very much again for all your help. I'm still getting used to Amarok, but I think this importer/exporter is a great addition to increase the userbase since it allows much more portability of later changes. Thanks again! |
