Amarok doesn't see the tags made by EasyTag

I am on Madriva 2011.0 with Amarok 2.4.1. I wanted to make some order in my music collection, so I've installed EasyTag (v.2.1.8 ), but, Amarok doesn't seem to see its tags! On the other hand, the changes made by Amarok itself are recognized by EasyTag. (Clementine behaves the same way as Amarok, and even worse.) I've tried some Google search, I've seen that some people did have a similar problem, but, it seems that none of the solutions applies on my case. In EasyTag, my default ID3 Tag settings are UTF-8 for ID3v2 (using ID3v2.4) and ISO-8859-1 for ID3v1 tags. I've tried to play with various other combinations - nothing changed. I've also tried to use CRC32, or to switch to ID3v2.3 for - ID3v2 -always the same. And in Amarok, I've enabled character set detection - no results. And yes - I did try to rescan the collection. So, I gave a look in a hexadecimal editor and I believe to see where the problem might be. Both Amarok and EasyTag write the tags the same way in the same places, but, Amarok fills the empty places in the bottom tag with hexadecimal "00", while EasyTag uses "20" (although I've seen some other fillings too, such as hex. "A"). And, as I've said, whatever code page I've applied in EasyTag, it didn't change anything. Does anybody have a clue what could it be and is there any way I could fix it? Thanks.

Well, both Amarok 2.4.1. and EasyTag 2.1.8 are the highest versions offered by Mandriva 2011 official repositories and it is still the last stable Mandriva. Mandrake used to be a great distribution, but, Mandriva ("The most advanced Linux Operating System") sucks ever more. Anyway, thank you for the information. I'll try to install the latest Amarok, but, I will not force the installation.

That's because Mandriva is discontinued, the project's name is now Mageia, and they have certainly been updated quite a few times since 2011 :)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
