Hi,

I tried to upgrade from Amarok 2.6 to 2.7. The installation completed without any errors but when I start tried to start amarok nothing happened. Starting it from command line gives following error:

amarok: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libamaroklib.so.1: undefined symbol: _ZN11KListWidget17mouseReleaseEventEP11QMouseEvent

I'm using a Linux 13 Maya system with 3.2.0-36-generic kernel.

Could there be a problem with the mouse function on a widget of some kind?

Any help greatly appreciated,

usually these kind of errors mean there is a disconnect between the app and the libraries installed, was Amarok 2.7 installed from the Mint 13 Maya repo or from another?

Where did you get the package from? Might be a packaging issue.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I'm guessing Maya is Precise and that the backports you used is Quantal so you're mixing apples and oranges, you may need to compile Amarok, upgrade Mint or find an Amarok 2.7 package specifically compiled for either Precise or Maya - someone more familiar with your distro may have a better solution

Ok thanks sounds like a probable reason for this issue alright!
