Hello,
I've got two computers : a desktop and a laptop. They are both running Amarok (2.6 on the laptop and 2.7 on the desktop). My music collection is synchronized between the two computers. I've a copy on my laptop and an other on the desktop (These two folders are synchronized daily with unison). Anyway, I would like to synchronize my statistics (playcount, note, etc..). Indeed, the day I'm listening my music with the laptop and at night with the desktop .. I was thinking of synchronizing the "statistics.*" files in the folder /.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/amarok/ between the two computers, does it make sense ? Or maybe setting an external common database ? Thanks for help Sekisushai |

To synchronize your statistics you should have Amarok 2.7 on both systems, you can then use the Synchronization tool in the menu Tools -> Synchronize Statistics. Currently you need a last.fm account so you can do this across machines AFAIK, but the whole Synchronization stack is work in progress and more options will be available in later versions.
Of course if you add the other machine as a collection the synchronization can also be done directly. For more information see also http://userbase.kde.org/Amarok/Manual/O ... ronization
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Ok ! I did the Last.fm way. It works thanks !
Is it possible to do automatically a last.fm stats synchronization at amarok startup ? |

Exactly. There's a GSoC project for this summer to synchronize 2 Amarok instances w/out the help of Last.fm: http://community.kde.org/GSoC/2013/Idea ... on_targets So glad to hear you got it working! No, sorry, automatic synchronization is explicitly formidden for Last.fm. The reasons are two: a) it takes so long so that it would probably annoy users b) it makes a good deal stress on Last.fm servers - Amarok might get blocked by them if they found that we overuse their services. |

In fact I just can retrieve the playcount stats with last.fm.... I can't retriev the first time played, last time played and score tags although its checked in Amarok settings... Any ideas ?

First & last time played is not supported by Last.fm due to web API omission on their side - please talk to them to include the information in their web service. (BTW, you coul've told this by reading tooltip of the Last.fm item in first step of the synchronization) Score is not yet supported by the Synchronization framework, neither in any of the synchronization providers. This may however change in future. |
