Hello,

I'm running Amarok 2.7 on Gentoo Linux with KDE 4.10.1. I'm usually playing a dynamic playlist consisting of MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files. I noticed that when Amarok switches from an MP3 file to an Ogg Vorbis file it automatically stops playing at 0:02. Playing several tracks in Ogg Vorbis format consecutively works fine. Most of the time I restart by double clicking on the track Amarok stopped at, sometimes it automatically continues after a few minutes.

Any ideas why Amarok stops playing?

The problem is most likely due to the phonon-backend-gstreamer, as this has reported with it very often. Please try the phonon-backend-vlc instead.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Thanks for the quick reply! I installed phono-vlc and switched the backend in Amarok. Problem seems to be fixed now.
