Re: Unable to compile on Mac :(

Hello everyone.
Got exactly the same linking problem (with unresolved Playlists::M3UPlaylist and stuff) on Snow Leopard with latest Xcode and macports.
Strange because the missing symbol seems to be there (as far as nm can tell) in libamaroklib.dylib.
I'd be willing to try Markey's patch but the "pastelink" link is void.
Could you re-post it ?
Thanks in advance.

When checking for the symbols in the *.dylib files, please verify they are being correctly exported.

I am using
macOS 10.3
clang --version
Code: Select all
Apple LLVM version 9.0.0 (clang-900.0.38)
Target: x86_64-apple-darwin17.4.0
Thread model: posix
InstalledDir: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin

my Log file is attached https://paste.kde.org/p9n5fbaaw.

My problem looked very similar to this one. but the patch link is not working.

I could not find any alternative way to install amarok.
I am starting to miss my old fedora machine :(

I'm quite unfamiliar with the Mac ecosystem but if I read the log correctly you're trying to build amarok 2.6.0, which is almost 6 years old and there are three newer releases available. Among other things they include a fix to find newer versions of taglib, which is one of the things going wrong with your build. Please try with 2.9.0 or poke people maintaining macports to add that version.
