[prefix] in Playlist layout?

Wed Nov 27, 2013 7:31 pm
I'm trying to set up my playlist to display the Comment field but only when there is one - I use it to store contributing artists, but is used on less than half the collection.

I gather [prefix] and [suffix] are used for this, but I haven't found the documentation on how to use them.

Help and suggestions gratefully appreciated.

You don't have to use any prefix or suffix if you don't want to, the field will be simply empty if there is nothing inside.

What you can't do is removing the field if there is no comment, that is not possible. Also it is not possible to display more than one line of comments AFAIK.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Thanx for the feedback. I had hoped to avoid the blank lines for most albums, but...

Still the best music player for Linux!!
