Hello again :

Code: Select all
amarok : [ CoverFetcher ] Finished with errors for album " Columbus Egg " " [ an error communicating with the provider covers occurred : http://images.google.com/images?q=El%20Huevo%20De%20Col%C3%B3n%20Orquesta%20Mondrag%C3%B3n&gbv=1&filter=1&start=0]"

Just an little information for a start: the name is Amarok, not amaroK, and that has changed in 2006 already :)

The cover fetching from Google is broken currently since Google changed their API so only covers from last.fm do work currently. If your wikipedia applet doesn't work that would be a totally different issue, please check your network connection, something must have gone wrong there. Maybe just restarting Amarok could help.

I have no problems here with connection to the web, using the development version v2.8.0-231-ga82b95a

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

It's the same with either option.
Code: Select all
amarok: [CoverFetcher] "Queueing cover fetch query: 'Blade Runner Trilogy 25" Anniversary Vangelis' (page 0) "
amarok: [CoverFoundDialog] Select source as Last.fm
amarok: [CoverFetcher] Finished with errors for album "Blade Runner Trilogy 25" Anniversary "" [an error communicating with the provider covers occurred: http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?api_key=402d3ca8e9bc9d3cf9b85e1202944ca5&limit=20&page=0&album=Blade%20Runner%20Trilogy%2025%22%20Anniversary%20Vangelis&method=album.search]"

But if I paste the link in Firefox have resulted in:
Code: Select all
<lfm status="ok"><results for="Blade Runner Trilogy 25" Anniversary Vangelis"><opensearch:Query role="request" searchTerms="Blade Runner Trilogy 25" Anniversary Vangelis" startPage="1"/><opensearch:totalResults>1</opensearch:totalResults><opensearch:startIndex>0</opensearch:startIndex><opensearch:itemsPerPage>20</opensearch:itemsPerPage><albummatches><album><name>Blade Runner Trilogy, 25th Anniversary</name><artist>Vangelis</artist><id>4299011</id><url>http://www.last.fm/music/Vangelis/Blade+Runner+Trilogy,+25th+Anniversary</url><image size="small">http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/34s/88332349.png</image><image size="medium">http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/64s/88332349.png</image><image size="large">http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126/88332349.png</image><image size="extralarge">http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/300x300/88332349.png</image><streamable>0</streamable><mbid/></album></albummatches></results></lfm>

I closed and started again Amarok, the problem persists.

I'll have to wait to update the version in the repositories.
