Many times Amarok recognizes the lyric of a song, if the name of the lyric file is exactly equal to the name of the audio file. Sometimes however not: the two files (.txt and .mp3) have the exactly same name, and the content of the text file is as all the other recognized, but amarok doesn't seee any lyric.
Any idea? Thank you John |

Where are those lyrics stored? Amarok looks for lyrics online and in the ID3 tag for lyrics. I am not at all sure that it looks at text files stored on your computer.

I meant in terms of file characteristics, name, format, permissions, etc. There must be something special about the file that Amarok doesn't display the content. Please check again.

The names are allways absolutely identicals, the permissions also, the format of the .txt not running files is the same of that of files .txt running (I opened the runng ones, and paste the lyric and saved: nothing).

Could you please open a bug report and provide one of the files that don't work? Presuming you use Amarok 2.8.0, of course. If you have an older version I strongly recommend you upgrade your system.
