I have just switched over an old laptop that used to run windows 7 to xubuntu and am using Amarok to manage my ipod [an older 80G classic]. The only difficulty I am having is loading a number of m4b [audiobook] files I have. I can load these files onto the ipod but they are appearing as music files rather than audiobooks. I have set the tags on the files in Amarok but still they appear as music on the ipod.
I have looked on a number of forums and not found any specific answers other than it appears to work for some people that just renaming an m4a file to m4b appears to make the audio appear as an audio book rather than music; not the case for me. I have also tried setting the genre to 'podcast' but that does not affect where the files appear on the ipod either - they still appear as music. Its there any tips and advice this forum could offer? Amarok V2.8 xubuntu 14.04. Many thanks for reading. John T. |
