I can't back up the Amarok database as I don't know where it is. The path given in the manual and here:
viewtopic.php?f=116&t=97238&p=341625#p341625 Doesn't exist on my Fedora 21 installation. |

Did you try the path with ~/.kde4/share/apps/amarok/.. ? It's not really useful to repeat posts, we already have one open on the same subject...
Depending on the distributions it is either ~/.kde/.. or ~/.kde4/.. for all things related to KDE4.x releases. If you can't find either, then please ask the Fedora people, because in that case they broke the standard for shared KDE files.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

On my machine the path is:
/home/<username>/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle. For a rookie user, it isn't obvious or even known to look under /home/username - when I'm given the path .kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/ I don't know that I should prepend something to it. |

you were given the path ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle, which is equivalent. Don't skip any sign, even if it is a tiny ~

Sorry - thought the "-" was punctuation, not part of the command.
But hmm - getting same result with that command (Not found) even when hidden files are enabled. Oh well. Not a topic for this forum. I was able to backup the usage data despite my inexperience thanks to the help I got here. Thanks to all. |

maybe your browser doesn't display the sign correctly, it is a tilde, not a dash. Depending on the font you use, it might be misleading. Let me try that in a code block:

I typed t wrong in the post - but I copied and pasted the path from your post so the tilde was there.
Oh well, I'll fix it/figure it out - eventually. |

Your distribution might also use ~/.kde4/ instead of ~/.kde/... |

It's ~/.kde.
And it worked this time. (~/.kde/share/apps/amarok/mysqle/) Computers can be weird! |
