Dear all,
I would like to have Amarok pause when it has been idle for some time (say 2 hours). If I have the player on repeat or am listening to a stream, and forget to pause before the weekend, the music will keep playing unappreciated for days... Anyone know how to do this? Rob. |

In the absence of other solutions, I wrote my own script for it. Perhaps it will be useful for someone else: https://github.com/robertmuil/amarok-idle-pause
It's very simple, but does exactly what I need - if I don't touch amarok for 2 hours, it gives some warning, then pauses the music. Open to other suggestions. Cheers, Rob. |

Sorry for being late:
I think there already are similar scripts, if you check the available scripts through Amarok's settings. If you want your script to be installed through amarok, you should use the current standard repository: https://community.kde.org/Amarok/Develo ... stribution.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Hi Mamarok,
thanks very much for your reply. I have had a look through the scripts, and could see nothing that did this. I will look at including my script in the searchable repository. Thank you! Cool name, by the way. Rob. |

I've uploaded the script to the directory: http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php ... ent=174405
So it should be visible in the script manager now. Cheers, Rob. |
