below are the Gstreamer packages I've installed, some like the Phonon and Fluendo are not in the Packman repo
I've not got any more ideas but could you try as a new user just to see if somehow something, somewhere in you config is amiss

those are all found in the standard OSS repo and are probably video related |

it would help if you provided the exact error message Clementine provides |

there's nothing there that looks like an error, I get pretty much the same when I run it
but you said "i tried clementine and it says that something is missing with gstreamer ", that's the message needed - it may only show when you try playing something. also with Amarok and the updated gstreamer packages what does "amarok --debug" show |

As for the brand new user i created on purpose :
amarok default theme plays ok. podcast was played at 1st but could not be heard , then i could not play it again. Clementine said that gstreamer misses a graft (i said "something" for i was not sure of the exact translation, in french it says clementine misses a gstreamer "greffon") http://dictionnaire.reverso.net/francai ... is/greffon Here's a paste of amarok --debug , at the end of the file is when i'm trying to play the podcast : http://pastebin.com/6aTDTmvM

I think "greffon" in this case means plugin, so it appear you are missing a plugin but if you have all the same gstreamer packages as me I don't know what would be missing
failed assertions in Amarok output, my guess is that your missing something and since you seem to be missing a plugin for Clementine ........... do you have both *fluendo-mp3 packages? try reinstalling all gstreamer packages using Yast, search for gstreamer and the all in this list -> update unconditionally |

hello ;=)
here are the installed packages :
i upgraded unconditionnally all gstreamer packages in yast, some 80 packages were downloaded, restarting session and amarok i still can't play the podcasts, nor the music.

Hm, I think I start to see the problem: depending on your Phonon version, you need a different gstreamer version for the plugins. If your Phonon backend version is older than 4.8.1, you only should have the plugins for version 0.10, if your backend version is newer, your plugins should be for version 1.x.
And, of course, the backend versions, be this for vlc or gstreamer, should be for Qt4 only, the vlc backend for Qt5 can't work with Amarok. You apparently have a mismatch of Qt4 and Qt5 packages, that is a problem in your distribution packaging.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Yes, I strongly advise you do, those should never have been available anyway if you use a KDE 4.x release.
On the other hand, if you use Plasma 5.x, you should not erase those, but make sure to also install the packages specific to the Qt4 version, as Amarok is not ported to Qt5 yet and needs the Qt4 based versions. Also, you should make sure you have the gstreamer plugins for version 1.x only, if you still have some for 0.10 around I think you can delete those, at least I don't know of any recent media application that still uses gstreamer 0.10

hello ;=)
I'm using Plasma 5 only. From above i saw that each file having qt5 in its name as its equivalent without qt5 in the name. i removed gstreamer 0.10 , plugins are in version 1 only : i still can't play podcasts, nor music. Here's what i have now :
