Help streaming WBAL AM station

Tue Jan 05, 2016 3:38 pm
Apparently this station has changed to a new streaming vendor and now I can't stream the station. Any idea how to do it now?

http://player.listenlive.co/35701

I can stream when using Firefox but not Amarok.

that link is a web page with a built in player not a link to a stream

I posed the wrong question.

Yes that is the link to the built in player but my "real" question is how do I play the station without needing to open a browser to use the built in player?

For years this worked -- http://1651.live.streamtheworld.com:80/WBALAM_SC

Now it doesn't work and I think it has to do with them changing from stream the world to Triton. I can't find a way to get the address to the Triton stream.

this is a question for the station, do they still have a stream available? Or you can look at the page's HTML code to see if there's and link to the actual stream

you can try using a widget , the web browser one worked for me in KDE 4

I'm still on Kubuntu 11 or 12 and yes the web browser can stream. I did try to do an inspection to find the address but no go. I'm not in the mood for idiocy and hesitate calling the station to hear how they don't understand the question for a stream address. posting.php?mode=quote&f=115&p=348781#

Oops -- edit completed because before I said KDE 11 or 12 and it should have been Kubuntu 11 or 12.
