By "use throughout the whole system" you mean your computer, right? And what exactly do you want to do with it, besides playing music?
FWIW: recent Linux distributions like Kubuntu use Pulseaudio for handling sound and connected devices, so maybe your request is already there, you just don't know it yet. Could you please be a tad more specific about the use you had in mind?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Well I would like a sound editor/equalizer that controls my computer and the HD T.V i have it attached to as my monitor, so it uses the t.v's hdmi port/plug thing but with what I have now under the volume control iI can only adjust the L/R speaker part and really only the port it uses. There is no equalizes or anything lse really under the sound manager thing. Sorry like I said I don't know much about computers other than I love this one. The sound thing really is my only complaint now that I figured out the update and how to install things(kinda) really when i tried to install some tools for the sound that i found when i opened it up I lost sound completely for a while. So I had to go back and uninstall and reinstall the sound to get it to work again but really after all that i didn't find any extra options from the tool box thing i installed. I guess what i am looking for is something that well give me options such as bass and treble etc. on my computer no matter what i am doing on it weather i am on youtube playing a game or listening to my own music playlists. Which I do realize that i do have control in some of them when i open jukbox or something, but that is my whole point I want something that well give me control over sound no matter what i am doing on my computer. I want something like windows sound controls, when you adjust the volume setting bass etc. it takes those settings and uses those settings for your whole system until you change them again not just for playing music on the media player. I had so really cheap house speakers on that but once I hooked them up to my computer i was able to use their software and it made the speaker sound and quality absolutely awesome. and when i say cheap it mean i got 4 speakers wolfer and the main for 40 bucks from walmart. So I am praying that there is something like that in kde. I soooo hate windows now I can not bear to even go on one for more than mins all of the pop-ups and how sllllooooooow there are and i hated my mac too! Please tell me there is something to help me "pimp my sound" so to speak. BTW thanks for your help. I appreciate you!;) |
