I just downloaded amarok, i was looking for a simple easy to use music organizer.
Created a new folder on a harddrive, copied in some music to see if import would work how i wanted it to, keep thins organized. And only a small fraction of what i put in that folder imported. It didint even import all of 1 album. Is there a simple fix for this, or should i cut my losses and go find something that works for me and does what i want? |

Which version of Amarok, which distribution?
How exactly did you proceed to "import"? AFAIK there is no "import" function, you mean building a collection? Have you done a full collection rescan, then restarted Amarok? If you are using version 2.8.0, which I presume you do, you need to make sure to restart Amarok after the first rescan, as there is a caching bug that prevents the full collection to be displayed.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
