Amarok version 2.8 on Linux Mint 18 Sarah Xfce 64 bit. I previously had Lubuntu on this box and Amarok's Settings menu responded normally. Now, it takes 3 - 5 minutes for the Settings > Configure Amarok to show the Configure dialog. It also takes some time for the Apply button to appear after the Local Collection > Full rescan button is pressed, and some time for the OK button to show it's been pressed and for the dialog to dismiss itself.

I tried installing Amarok while running Linux Lite v3.4 off of a live DVD and the menus and buttons responded normally.

I very much doubt this is an Amarok issue, sounds like something went wrong with your installation. You should report this to your distribution.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

That's kind of what I was thinking. Thanks for replying.

Ah, what the heck. I'm bored and haven't had to troubleshoot Samba issues for a while - maybe I'll try Linux Light on it. ;-)
